Tim & Shaun Sit Down to Talk Summer 2026/27
Every year after our photoshoot, Shaun and I like to sit down and talk through the new collection—what inspired it, what trends we’re seeing, the materials we’ve chosen and, most importantly, why we believe these pieces deserve a place in Australian homes.

This year’s collection is one we’re particularly excited about. It continues the move towards softer, more organic outdoor spaces, while introducing some incredible new materials and colour palettes.
Here’s what stood out during our conversation.
Curves, Comfort & Mediterranean Inspiration
Tim: “Let’s start with the lounges. What are we adding this season?”
Shaun: “We’ve got some really exciting new products. The standout has to be the Elements Lounge. It’s heavily inspired by that relaxed Mediterranean aesthetic with beautiful curved lines, oversized proportions and incredibly deep, plush cushions.”
One of the biggest developments this season is the introduction of a new textured outdoor fabric.
“It’s got the softness and quality feel you’d expect from premium olefin, but with a beautiful woven texture we haven’t used before. It’s one of those fabrics you just want to reach out and touch.”
Meet Daintree & Eclipse

Another exciting addition is the arrival of two completely new lounge collections.
“The Daintree and Eclipse share a similar design language with warm timber-look aluminium frames, but they’re quite different once you look closer.”
The Daintree introduces a beautiful woven rope feature that softens the overall look, while Eclipse creates a cleaner architectural feel with open sides and rounded detailing.
“Both are designed around flexibility too,” Shaun explains. “Three-seaters, two-seaters and armchairs let customers build the configuration that suits their outdoor space.”
Warm Neutrals Are Taking Over
Tim: “One thing I noticed during the shoot was the new Caribbean colour.”
“The market’s definitely shifting towards warmer tones,” Shaun says.
“Our Caribbean Extension Dining has been incredibly successful in White and Gunmetal, but Taupe felt like the natural next step. Customers are looking for softer colours that work with stone, timber and contemporary homes.”
Thankfully, none of the functionality changes.
“It’s still the same extendable table people love—just in a fresh new finish.”
A Dining Combination We Love
One pairing that both of us kept coming back to during the shoot was the Morocco Extension Table with our new Elements Dining Chair.

“The Morocco has been a favourite for years because of its extension system, but adding the rounded Elements chairs completely changes the look.”
The result feels softer, more inviting and perfectly on trend for Summer 2026/27.
A Fresh Look for Salt Sun Sand
The conversation then turned to styling.
One of the biggest launches this season is the brand-new Bondi Cushion Collection from Salt Sun Sand.
“We’ve developed three distinct colour stories,” Shaun explains.
“The first is inspired by chocolate tones—latte, mocha and rich warm neutrals. Then we’ve got a green-blue palette with vibrant lime mixed with deep navy. Finally, we’ve introduced a statement collection featuring beautiful reds and pinks.”
The idea isn’t to completely change your outdoor setting.
“It’s about giving customers an affordable way to completely refresh the look of a lounge just by changing cushions.”
The Lounge That Makes Everyone Stop

One product we couldn’t finish discussing without mentioning was the Evoke Lounge.
Although it launched earlier, it was a major feature in this year’s campaign.
Tim: “Who’s buying Evoke?”
“It’s the customer looking for something special,” Shaun says.
“This isn’t your standard three-seater and two armchairs. It’s designed to become the hero of the outdoor space.”
Built using genuine teak, sculptural curves and oversized seating, Evoke creates an unmistakably premium feel.
“The four-seater is substantial enough to stand alone, but if you’ve got the space, adding the matching pieces creates a real wow factor.”
It’s exactly the type of furniture people notice the moment they walk into your backyard.
Built Around Australian Living
As our conversation wrapped up, one thing became clear.
Every decision behind this collection—whether it was introducing warmer colours, selecting new fabrics or developing new lounge designs—was made with Australian homes in mind.
For over 24 years we’ve believed outdoor furniture should combine comfort, quality, style and value, and this collection continues that philosophy.
